Guiding Principles

“Let us be sure that those who come after will say of us in our time, that in our time we did everything that could be done. We finished the race; we kept them free; we kept the faith.” ~ President Ronald Reagan

The Georgia House Republican Caucus works to pass common sense legislation that promotes economic development, encourages job creation, enhances educational opportunities for younger generations, and protects our conservative, Georgia values.

We work hand-in-hand with our Republican Speaker of the House David Ralston (R-7), Republican Governor Brian Kemp, and like-minded lawmakers to ensure that brighter days and better opportunities are always ahead.

Ethical Government

We believe in fair, transparent, and ethical government.  Trust in state government is tantamount to the success of a representative democracy and those we serve deserve integrity, honesty, and candor from their state lawmakers.

Limited Government

We believe in limited government.  Bigger government creates bigger bureaucracy, which stifles economic development, business growth and investment, and job creation.  We must keep state government effective, efficient, and responsive.

Job Creation

We believe private businesses – not government – should create jobs.  As state lawmakers, we must work tirelessly to create a business environment ripe for job creation.  By removing unnecessary regulations and red tape, we can empower job creators and encourage businesses from around the globe to relocate to Georgia.

Fiscal Restraint

We believe in fiscal restraint.  State government should be efficient and we must treat every dollar spent like it is our own.  We are financial stewards of the public treasury and should always look for ways to tighten our belts and do more with less.

Every child deserves the opportunity for a world-class education. By enhancing school choice, Georgia can provide the prosperity and economic liberty we desire for generations to come.

Promoting Agriculture

Agriculture is Georgia’s number one industry and an important way of life across the state. We believe in protecting agriculture and promoting policies that will ensure our farmers and agri-businesses are the most competitive and productive in the nation.

Georgia Values

We believe in traditional, Georgia values.  To keep our state strong, we must promote life, strengthen our families, and protect our God-given, Constitutional Rights.
